Belize Real Estate Investment

Belize Real Estate Investment

Belize real estate is highly desirable for a multitude of reasons.
Under Belize law foreign nationals can own property any where in Belize, including property on the ocean.  Since there are no capital gains taxes or inheritance taxes, and the Belize real estate taxes are low, buying Belize real estate is a good investment.
Of course another advantage to buying Belize real estate is the fact that all documents are in English and English common law prevails.  Combine all that with the reality that the Belize Real Estate you are buying is in a tropical Caribbean country, and the decision becomes a lot easier.

Tapir at the Belize Zoo

Tapir at the Belize Zoo

Say you are having a hard time finding or spotting the native wildlife in Belize - don’t despair, there is a zoo in Belize City.

Although Belize City is a couple hour bus ride from your home at Sanctuary Bay, the drive is well worth it.  The Belize Zoo and Tropical Education Center spans 29 acres of tropical savanna and has over 125 native Belize animals.

Many of these animals were either orphaned, born at the zoo, rehabilitated, or sent to The Belize Zoo as donations from other zoological institutions.

The zoo is very important to the country as an educational facility about the native animals that many of the Belize residents know little about, yet live next to every day.

It is also a great chance for new Belize inhabitants to learn more about the animals that habitat the surrounding area.

Village festivals are frequent and other country wide celebrations include a strong fall line up.

Celebrations aren’t the only time you can find nightlife or excitement in Belize though.

Many restaurants and bars provide entertainment including bands playing country and rock music, as well as local “Punta” music.  Punta music is a unique drumming music that gives out a Caribbean vibe.

Belize Paradise

Belize Paradise

Once you buy Belize real estate at Sanctuary Bay, you will slowly begin to realize that the Belize climate is close to perfect.

Laying in a subtropical location, Belize has an average annual temperature hovering around 80 degrees.

Caribbean waters are always warm and inviting, and the refreshing ocean breezes help keep down the humidity.

Two seasons exist here, dry and rainy season.  The dry season extends from December to May.  The rainy season quenches the jungles in Southern Belize with about 200 inches of rain from June to November. The rain typically falls in short and frequent bursts that disrupt daily life very little.
